A HORSE ON A PORCH

Today, I saw a horse on a porch
I was not dreamin'
Just experiencin' South Texas livin'

An oddity to me, but who am I to say
That life should be lived
In this or that way

By God, we're made special
And He's the One
Who can always tell

If our hearts are humble
Although we may stumble
And our ways are straight
Leading to His pearly Gate

I truly didn't mind this special remindin'
That though by appearance
There seems such a difference

But between you and me?
Really, there's not a whole lot
We eat, we sleep, we work and we breathe

So the next time I see a horse on a porch
I will not stand as judge
I'll just keep my eyes set on Him above
