"Inspirations"

These "inspirations"  have come as a result of my Lord's gentle teaching over the years and I am honored to share them with you. I pray that they may be a vessel through which God can touch your heart with a special blessing as you read and reflect prayerfully upon them.

May God be Glorified!

EVEN DEATH ON A CROSS

Created for LIFE by LIFE itself
We chose instead to defile His Creation
Bringing Death and its Curse upon us
Through our sin and our rebellion

Though He knew He could not die for us, unless,
He first was born of human flesh
Christ chose, even still, to love us as only He can love
By taking upon Himself what, by all rights,
He should never have to bear ~
An eternal moment of separation from the Father
As Death stripped Him of His righteous, holy place

Trusting in the faithfulness of the Father
And His promise to restore
In loving obedience, for us,
Our Savior hung utterly alone on that tree at Calvary
Under the very curse of God

While the mortal Son of Man cried out ~
"My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?"
The only begotten Son of the Father,
Having taken upon Himself what, by all rights,
Should be our Death
Uttered our names in prayer
On whispers of His dying breath

So, really, life is not fair at all
When, by all rights, our sentence should be Death,
Grace stepped in and humbly took our place
Obedient unto Death ~ even Death on a cross
All to grant us LIFE eternal

Scripture Path ...

Genesis 2:16-17 The LORD God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."

Genesis 3:14 The LORD God said, "Because you have done this, cursed are you ..."

Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us--for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"--

Mark 15:34 At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, " ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" which is translated, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"

Philippians 2:6-8 Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
